The walking area is steeped in history, legend and folklore. The high level walks cover such famous areas as the majestic Langdale Pikes , the mighty Helvellyn, Sergeant Man and the Fairfield Horseshoe (scene of an annual Fell Race). For the not so athletic, there are a range of superb low and middle level walks to inspire anyone. Amongst these, the 'Lion and the Lamb', Easedale Tarn, Loughrigg Fell, Silver How and the beautiful lakes of Grasmere and Rydal. (See below)
The Hotel
