Welcome to the Wordsworth Trust's 2010 Poetry in Grasmere season
Romantic Poets, Romantic Places - All the Romantic poets left their mark on the places where they lived. Wordsworth in Grasmere, Coleridge in Somerset, Byron at Newstead Abbey, Burns in Alloway and many more. Romantic Poets, Romantic Places looks at the inspiration and influence of a place on a poet and how association with a poet changes how the place is seen in the public and private imagination. The exhibition uses pictures, diaries, letters and manuscripts to tell how our greatest literary figures affected, and were affected, by where they lived and worked.
Come and explore contemporary poetry with us. Poetry in Grasmere, April - October 2010
