Situated right in the centre of a most beautiful village in the heart of the Lake District, with magnificent views of the hills all around, the Grasmere Red Lion Hotel offers you a warm welcome to your 2010 Christmas Celebrations.
Christmas Eve:
Arrive at your leisure for a welcoming afternoon tea in the lounge. At 5.30pm for those who wish, we will visit the local church for Christingle. Then it’s time to settle in and get ready for our welcome drink and canapés before dinner served in the restaurant. After dinner there will be an evening of entertainment.
Christmas Day:
Enjoy a Buck’s Fizz breakfast served to your room. Later in the morning enjoy a visit from Santa in the lounge. After a sherry reception, enjoy a sumptuous traditional Christmas Lunch. The afternoon is then free to do as you wish, walk off the excesses or simply relax in the lounge. After our buffet dinner has been served, Play Your Cards Right hosted by Mr Fell.
Boxing Day:
The day starts with a traditional Victorian breakfast, then a trip out - details to be confirmed. On your return to the hotel a light lunch will be served. Before dinner this evening there will be a visit from the Lakes Handbell Ringers and after dinner there will be an evening of entertainment.
Sunday 27th December:
After breakfast it’s time to say goodbye, but why not stay a little longer at the special rates available.
